Bureau of Fire Protection set to get 469 new fire trucks

This news is hot…and this time in a very good way.

“The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has assured the House of Representatives that the country’s fire fighting capability will be considerably strengthened with the purchase of 469 fire trucks that will be assigned to various regions,” reports Ben Rosario in Manila Bulletin.

The report noted that the the public bidding for the purchase of the 469 firetrucks was successfully concluded when the joint venture of LDLA Marketing and Wuhan Automobile Refitting Factory of China bested competitors in the supply of fire trucks with a bid of PHP2,325,990,000.
