A youth council official from Malolos City, Bulacan has died after a sports car he was driving hit a jeepney and several houses this morning in the town of Plaridel, also in Bulacan.

Malolos City’s Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation president Mark Paolo Sandiego Manaysay, 24 years old, was driving a gray sports car this morning when the incident happened, GMA News reported.

The incident occurred in Barangay (Village) Sto. Niño at around 2am, according to Radyo Inquirer. The same report states that the car was completely destroyed and that some of its parts had flung off.

ABS-CBN News reported that Manaysay’s head and neck were injured because of the impact and that he died on the spot. According to GMA News, rescuers had to use a cutter to get him out of the vehicle.

The crash was so intense that residents in the area were reportedly woken up by the incident, according to the same ABS-CBN News report.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident.

Manaysay’s friends and supporters took to social media to share their condolences.

Many are commenting on his latest profile photo that some netizens noted was an unfortunate foreshadowing.
