OK, seriously, what is up with all these school bomb threats?
The Bulacan State University (BSU) just announced on its Facebook page that it is once again suspending classes today because of another bomb threat.
The announcement also came with a somewhat unsettling caption that translates into English as “Whoever is texting [the threats] must finally be caught.”
This comes just four days after the university suspended classes for a similar reason.
On Monday morning, a school official reportedly received a text that said: “This is the last time I am warning you! Goodbye Bulacan State University, Bustos and Malolos Campus, 3 bomb (sic) will explode today Goodluck!”
No explosives were found on campus and police said it was a possibly a prank by a student who wanted to get out off a midterm exam, The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported.
Last Thursday, BSU’s Bustos Campus also suspended classes after a bomb scare that claimed 50 bombs were planted in the area.
But BSU isn’t the only school that’s been getting bomb threats. On Tuesday, classes in a Laguna elementary school were suspended for the same reason.
Various institutions in Manila have also received bomb threats in the past few weeks, including the University of Santo Tomas and Mapua University in Intramuros. No explosives were found on either campus.
