Bukas Kotse Gang members arrested in Alabang

Karma finally caught up with them.

“Earlier this week, five suspected members of the Bukas Kotse Gang were arrested by the Muntinlupa Police at the parking lot of Shopwise Supermarket at Festival Supermall in Alabang,” reports Jonathan M. Hicap in Manila Bulletin.

The Muntinlupa Police identified those arrested as Johnny Roja, 49; Julsievin Mahipus, 23; Yannie Vicente, 24; Carlene Joy Bayron, 24; and Analyn Ronquillo, 20.
The driver of the car the group had attempted to steal, Danilo Marfil, 53, revealed that he saw two of the suspects attempting to open the Chevrolet Suburban using picklocks. He immediately called the police.

When the suspects saw the police, they went to their getaway vehicles, a Ford Explorer and a Ford Everest. Fortunately, the police caught up with them.

The report revealed that “a Samsung Galaxy smartphone and nine other mobile phones, a surgical plier, two metal tubes, two improvised pick locks, a caliber .38 pistol, and some live ammunition” were found in their vehicles.
