Is this too good to be true?
Authorities have caught a suspected leader of a hacking group that claimed responsibility over the recent cyberattacks on government websites.
The Philippine Daily Inquirer reports that agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) took custody over Rodel Plasabas, 24, in Butuan City on Wednesday night. A source of the paper identifies Plasabas as the leader of Anonymous Philippines, a local chapter of the so-called “hacktivist” group which operates worldwide.
Plasabas is an information technology student.
