A runaway bus lost control of its brakes, crashing at a bus stop along Edsa in Makati City. Five people were killed, and 30 were injured, according to a radio report.
The report said a speeding bus owned by Elena Liner plowed through the loading bay at Magallanes Southbound around 8:30am today. Makati police chief Senior Supt. Manuel Lukban said four men and a woman were killed in the incident.
At least 30 people, including the bus driver, were rushed to a hospital. Traffic has been snarled in the area with only two lanes for motorists passable at this time.
