In a statement released to the media on Fri, Aug 19, Duterte revealed that his daughter, Davao City mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, is seven weeks pregnant.
She is expecting triplets.
This happy news finally puts to rest all those rumors about Sara resigning as Davao City mayor. Her pregnancy was probably also the reason why she was advised to rest on July 25, so she missed her dad’s first ever state of the nation address (SONA).
“Sara is married to fellow lawyer Atty. Manases Carpio, who happens to be the nephew of Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales,” noted ABS-CBN News.
The couple already have two kids — a girl and a boy.
Sara has reassured Davaoeños that she will continue to work until her doctors tell her to restrict her activities.
