Brazilian woman nabbed at NAIA for alleged cocaine smuggling attempt

On Sat, Oct 15, a Brazilian woman was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 after around 6.2 kilos of cocaine was allegedly found in her suitcase.

 

 

“The 20-year-old woman, who claimed she was a model, had just arrived from Brazil via Dubai through Emirates Air flight EK 332. at around 5pm that day. The cocaine, with a street value of PHP32 million (around US$661,792), was found in a false bottom of her suitcase,” reports Rudy Santos in The Philippine Star.

The woman has been turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for further investigation.
