We wonder what Andres Bonifacio say about this.

“On Bonifacio Day, Caloocan 2nd District Rep. Edgar Erice announced that the PHP400-million project to rehabilitate the city’s iconic marker, the Bonifacio Monument, is set to start next year,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.

Erice said that “the historic landmark will be transformed into a shrine and museum.” It will also involve converting the Bonifacio Monument into a sky park.

The project is expected to take two years.

The report noted: “The monument was designed in 1933 by Guillermo Tolentino, National Artist for Sculpture, in honor of Bonifacio, dubbed as the Father of the Philippine revolution.”
