Senator Bongbong Marcos on Sat, Sep 26, reiterated that he has not yet decided on his plans for the 2016 elections.
“Wala pa talaga sa ngayon. Pinag-uusapan pa din namin sa Nacionalista Party lahat ng anggulo. Tinitingnan ko munang mabuti kung anong action ang pinakamaganda (None yet at the moment. We at the Nacionalista Party are talking about all the angles. We’re trying to figure out what’s the best move to make),” he said.
He also clarified that he has yet to decide whether he will run together with Vice President Jejomar Binay or Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, should the latter decide to run for higher office next year.
The senator on Fri, Sep 25, denied that he will make an announcement over the weekend.
“There is no truth to reports I would announce my candidacy in Pangasinan this weekend. I have been hearing so many dates of my supposed declaration of my plans for 2016,” Marcos said in a statement.
“Unless you hear it directly from me, do not believe. As I said before, I believe these false advisories being spread by an unscrupulous group are intentional and meant to put my name in a bad light,” he said.
Top officials of the newly formed Pagkaka-isa ng Mga Pilipino Para sa Pilipinas (PPP) had told The STAR that they expect Marcos to declare his presidential bid during a gathering of northern Luzon political leaders in Mangaldan, Pangasinan on September 27.
