“Senator Bongbong Marcos said the next President of the Republic should not adopt a policy of political vendetta by putting behind bars his political opponents,” reports Mario Casayuran in Manila Bulletin.
Marcos said that the political vengeance adopted in the past and present administrations is not good for the country. He quipped: “It’s counterproductive and divides Filipinos.”
The report recalled: “Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo sent her predecessor President Joseph ‘Erap’ Estrada to jail on charges of plunder. Arroyo met the same fate under the Aquino administration.”
