Board of Canvassers chair in Caloocan accused of cheating

Cheaters never prosper…especially if they get caught.

“Emma Jacinto, the chair of the Board of Canvassers (BOC) in Barangay 128, Caloocan City was accused of cheating by a winning candidate,” reports ABS-CBNNews.com.

According to Ronald Romero, candidate for barangay chairman, Jacinto “intentionally indicated” in the certificate of canvass the name of his rival as the one who won, even if the counts showed he was the real winner.

Jacinto denied that she had attempted to cheat. Her excuse? She said she just “forgot to include in the consolidation of votes one of the four election returns.”

But Romero’s not buying her excuse. He’s still going to press charges against her.
