Blogger mugged in Divisoria

Now here’s a story that’ll make you scratch your head.

A blogger who was window-shopping for phone cases in Divisoria was mugged by one of the stall vendors.

“A vendor was arrested for allegedly robbing a blogger who had asked him about cell phone casings he was selling in Divisoria, Manila, Saturday night,” reports Ranier Allan Ronda of Philippine Star.

The victim, Carlo Valenzona, had stopped at one of the stalls to ask about a phone casing, but left without buying anything. Before he knew it, the vendor, Jabbar Pacaambong, 22, and a couple of his companions had tailed him and demanded that Valenzona “return” Pacaambong’s phone.

The suspect grabbed the shopping bag on Valenzona’s shoulder and its contents, which includes a Samsung Galaxy fit, spilled.

As soon as the group left, Valenzona sought assistance from authorities to arrest Pacaambong. He was able to recover the shopping bag — with the Samsung phone still missing.
