Bishop says RH Law, poverty causes Pinoys to get into Internet porn

He sounds like he’s joing…but he’s not.

“Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo attributed Internet pornography patronage in part to the Reproductive Health (RH) Law,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

Citing an article from the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) website, the report said “Pabillo blasted the culture of addiction, which he said is rooted on the promotion of condoms, contraceptives, and the RH Law itself.”

Pabillo went on to blame poverty for the rise in Internet pornography. He said, “It is because of poverty among our people that pushes them to cyber pornography and it should be addressed sincerely. What is happening is that most parents were unable to provide education for their siblings causing ignorance that eventually drives their children to cyber pornography to make a living.”

On top of that Pabillo wants the the government to teach the “sacredness” of sex.

Dear Bishop Pabillo, you should know by now that people don’t need help when it comes to being led into temptation or other worse things. They can get there all by themselves. If you’re an RH Law advocate, it doesn’t mean you’re addicted to porn. If you’re poor, it doesn’t mean you’re going to force your children to be featured in pornographic shows.
