This is an old story that needs to get terminated.
“In a Radyo Veritas feature, Malolos Bishop Jose Oliveros stated that the essence of Lent is to ‘remember the passion and death of Jesus so that humanity may have life, which is contrary to the objective of RH law,'” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Oliveros further explained, “The RH law is in contrast to the mentality of Filipinos who value close knit family ties that respects and defends life. Our age old culture, respect for life.” He then reiterated the need for Filipinos to reject the “contraceptive mentality.”
The report noted that “the Supreme Court suspended the implementation of Republic Act 10354 or The Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Act of 2012 after receiving more than 10 petitions questioning its constitutionality.” The RH Law was enacted in December 2012 after 13 years of being stuck in Congress.
Now, it looks like the RH Law is stuck yet again.
