With a “party guest” like this, who needs enemies?
A female party crasher was able to steal money and valueables worth PHP250,000 from Janice Bersaba, the mother of the celebrant in a children’s party held in Quezon City last Sun, Feb 26.
The suspect was caught on cam by the security cameras on the venue but she hasn’t been identified yet, ABS-CBN News reports.
According to the victim, there were about 150 people in the party. She didn’t mind the unfamiliar faces because they might be suppliers, drivers or yayas of the guests.
Bersaba left her bag at her seat for the family picture-taking. The suspect swiftly took it before leaving the venue. The bag contained the money supposed to be used as payment for the party suppliers.
According to police authorities, this wasn’t the first time that the suspect was accused of stealing from a birthday party. She was also caught on cam stealing from a party in 2013 and 2016.
Supt. Pedro Sanchez said that they will spread the suspect’s picture among party organizers as a warning. They reminded party guests to be mindful of their valuables.
Investigations are still ongoing.
