BIR executive wounded in QC ambush

Why does it seem to be so easy for assassins to attack people in Metro Manila?

“On Thursday night, May 8, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Division chief Daniel de Jesus, 46, was ambushed by two gunmen on a motorbike while on board his sports utility vehicle in front of the Philippine Heart Center on East Avenue, Quezon City,” reports Dennis Carcamo on Philstar.com.

De Jesus was hit on the right shoulder during the shooting and was later rushed to the hospital.

The report noted: “Police recovered more than 10 empty shells of a .45 pistol at the crime scene. They suspect that the ambush on the BIR official is work-related.”
