BIR chief Kim Henares: ‘I’m retiring on June 30’

It seems Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) chief Kim Henares is not concerned about keeping her job.

During the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) general membership meeting, Henares stated, “Please don’t ask presidential candidates if they will retain me. I’m looking forward to retiring on June 30. I wish the next BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) commissioner the best of luck.”

In a Philippine Daily Inquirer report, it was revealed that Henares is “already looking forward to life away from government service.” She revealed that she wants to study Physical Therapy or enroll in an online course.

In any case, Henares has already made her mark at BIR.
