First of all, Olivia is, apparently, not an actual person.
Right around Valentine’s Day, Metro Manila commuters were baffled by pink billboards with the words “Olivia, will you marry me?” The billboards also bore the numbers, “21414.”
At some point, actor John Prats was accused of being the romantic soul behind the stunt. There were those who speculated that he had popped the question to actress-girlfriend Isabel Oli, whose real name is Maria Olivia S. Daytia.
That speculation (just like many others) is wrong.
“The ‘Olivia, will you marry me?’ billboards are part of a marketing campaign for Pioneer Woodlands condominium in Mandaluyong,” reports Ira Agting on Rappler.com.
Agting also explained in her Rappler article that “‘21414’ refers to the weekly price of a unit in the said condominium.” That’s PHP2,141.4 per week in case you’re interested.
