This might prevent smackdowns (passive-aggressive or otherwise) over taxi cabs.
“Fourth District Quezon Province Representative Angelina Tan filed House Bill 3371 which, if passed, will require malls, commercials areas, airports, bus terminals, hotels and restaurants to build a taxi stand for the riding public,” reports Manila Bulletin.
The bill requires establishments to have security personnel overseeing the queue and issuing “passenger stubs” (with the date, time, and name, body and plate number of the vehicle) for taxi cabs. Aside from that, the bill also states that “establishments who fail to comply will be fined not more than PHP300,000 or have their business license revoked.”
SHOULDA COULDA WOULDA: Develop an app specific to this bill and issue a tablet to the assigned security personnel so they won’t need to issue “passenger stubs”. Instead, they can upload the details in a cloud-based database for authorities to retrieve anywhere, anytime.
