It’s a good bill regardless of who filed it.
“House Bill 3035 or the proposed Scholarship Grants to Public School Teachers and their Children Act of 2013″ was filed by former President and now Pampanga 2nd district Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her son Camarines Sur 2nd district Rep. Diosdado Macapagal Arroyo,” reports Jomari Guillermo in the Manila Bulletin.
The bill stipulates that “public school teachers who have been in active service for at least two consecutive years will be eligible to avail the scholarship grants for any post graduate course.” The public school teachers’ kids are also covered by the bill.
The grant is envisioned to be be applicable to all public schools and state universities.
