Peter Advincula, the self-confessed star of the viral video series Ang Totoong Narco List (The Real Narco List), has surrendered to the police again, this time in connection to a cyber libel case filed against him by a businessman.

Advincula surrendered last night to the Philippine National Police at its headquarters in Camp Crame in Quezon City. He arrived at around 7pm with members of his family.

A Legazpi City Regional Trial Court released a warrant of arrest against him on July 5 for cyber libel, which was based on a complaint filed by Elizaldy Co, the owner of Misibis Bay Resort, reported Rappler.

Advincula has claimed that he is Bikoy, a hooded figure who appeared in Ang Totoong Narco List who accused several members of President Rodrigo Duterte’s camp of being involved in the illegal drug trade. In the fifth episode of the series, Bikoy alleged that Misibis Bay Resort in Albay was used as the headquarters of a drug syndicate called the Quadrangle Group, which he said was led by Co, reported The Philippine Daily Inquirer.

For this, Co filed two separate cyber libel complaints against Advincula in May. He also filed complaints against social media platform Facebook and search engine Google Philippines.

These came after Advincula said that same month that everything he said in the viral videos were just fabrications, including his accusation that presidential son and Congressman Paolo Duterte, former presidential assistant and Senator Bong Go, and presidential son-in-law Manases Carpio received millions of pesos from the illegal drug trade.

Advincula will remain in the PNP’s custody for the time being, reported Manila Bulletin.

Less than two weeks ago, the PNP filed a slew of charges including inciting to sedition against several opposition figures whom Advincula accused of producing the viral videos. This includes Vice President Leni Robredo, Senators Leila de Lima and Risa Hontiveros, and former senators Antonio Trillanes IV and Bam Aquino. The charges were based on Advincula’s testimony that the group allegedly created the videos to oust Duterte from power in order for Robredo to become president.

All of the individuals facing the charges have denied that they orchestrated the plot to overthrow Duterte.
