Peter Joemel Advincula, the man who claims to be the “Bikoy” who appears in the viral video series Ang Totoong Narco List, was hospitalized today after his blood pressure shot up.

This came a day after he surrendered to the Philippine National Police (PNP) and accused Senators Antonio Trillanes IV, Risa Hontiveros, the staff of jailed Senator Leila de Lima, members of the Magdalo party-list group, and various church organizations of conniving with him to create the viral videos in order to oust President Rodrigo Duterte from power.

All senators denied that they had anything to do with Advincula. A member of Magdalo, Representative Gary Alejano, said that Advincula’s move was a way to silence opposition groups from raising important national issues.

PNP chief General Oscar Albayalde said Advincula was brought to the PNP General Hospital in Camp Crame, Quezon City after the latter’s blood pressure shot up to 130/90 this morning, reported CNN Philippines. He’s currently being observed by doctors.

Advincula complained that he was feeling dizzy prior to being brought to the hospital, The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported. He also had chest pains and head aches, reported Rappler.

Meanwhile, the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Undersecretary and Spokespesman Markk Perete urged Adincula to cooperate with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) which is currently investigating the viral videos.

“Even before, with his first allegations, our plea was for him to participate in the NBI’s investigation. We reiterate that call considering that he changed his story,” Perete said in the CNN Philippines show Newsroom Ngayon.

Parete said they could charge Advincula for inciting to sedition because of what he allegedly said in Ang Totoong Narco List.

Advincula first surfaced on May 6 at the Integrated Bar of the Philippines’ (IBP) office in Pasig City, saying that he was Bikoy, the hooded man in the viral videos who accused presidential son Congressman Paolo Duterte, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s husband Manases Carpio, and newly elected Senator Christopher “Bong” Go of receiving millions of pesos from the drug trade.

He claimed that he was a former member of a drug syndicate and that he was responsible for scanning the tattoos of Paolo and Go. He also said that he was in charge of updating the syndicate’s internal document, called “tara.” During the press conference, he asked for legal aid from the IBP because he wanted to sue Paolo, Carpio, and Go for drug-related charges. However, the IBP did not take on his case.

Advincula changed his tune yesterday and said that the creation of Ang Totoong Narco List was all part of the opposition’s plot to oust Duterte and install Vice President Leni Robredo into the presidency. He denied his previous allegations and said that he agreed to act as Bikoy in the videos because he was allegedly offered PHP500,000 (US$9,558.80) and a government position.

Robredo, meanwhile, called Advincula a liar and said the opposition Liberal Party had nothing to do with him.

Duterte’s spokesman Salvador Panelo told Advincula yesterday to present evidence and substantiate his claims against the opposition lawmakers he implicated.
