This plot is getting so thick that it would put telenovelas to shame.
“Atty. Levito Baligod—the lawyer who was recently fired by pork barrel scam whistleblower Benhur Luy—claims that there are forces who eased him out because they want to control his former client,” reports Nancy C. Carvajal in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

In a phone interview with the Inquirer, Baligod disclosed, “Someone wants to control Benhur Luy and I will be a hindrance to that. We talked about the illegal detention case hearing and after that, he stopped taking my calls and did not reply to my text messages.”
Baligod, however, declined to name the person who supposedly controls Luy, but he promised to reveal the said person’s name soon.
Baligod likewise denied Luy’s accusations that he didn’t have enough time to take care of his case. Baligod then enumerated his accomplishments as Luy’s lawyer. The report noted: “He said he was the one who facilitated the rescue of Luy from detention by his aunt and former employer, JLN chief Janet Lim Napoles, through coordination with Justice Secretary Leila de Lima and the National Bureau of Investigation.”
