BCDA set to turn Bonifacio War Tunnel into museum

Is this a good move or not?

“State-run Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) is seeking a consultant to prepare the study and design for the transformation of the Bonifacio War Tunnel—which is located along the eastern portion of Bonifacio Global City (BGC)—into a historical museum,” reports Darwin G. Amojelar on InterAksyon.com.

In a statement, Arnel Paciano Cassanova, BCDA president and chief executive, invited engineering firms to join and participate in the public bidding for the Detailed Engineering Study and Design for the Rehabilitation and Development of tunnel.

The report noted: “American soldiers built the tunnel on October 15, 1941 in preparation for the attacks of the Japanese Imperial Army. The Japanese expanded the tunnel during their occupation of the Philippines. The tunnel became a bomb shelter against American air raids between October 1944 and March 1945.”
