Are drug users attempting to have one last hurrah before the new administration takes over?

Barangay tanod Wilfredo Aquino, 55, was nabbed along with Conrado Callejo, 50, Bonbon Canero, 32, and Edwin Evidente, 39, during their shabu session at a house in Sta. Mesa, Manila last Fri, Jun 3.

“According to Senior Inspector Cicero Pura, Manila Police District station 8 anti-drug unit chief, it was Barangay 615 chairwoman Arsenia Nerviza tipped off police that the suspects were sniffing shabu at a house in Bagumbayan Street at around 10pm,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.

Police seized sachets of shabu and other drug paraphernalia. Aquino and his companions will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act.
