On top of being terrified, they also lost PHP1.5 million in cash and valuables during the home invasion.
“On Friday, Jan 24, Barangay Chairman Carlos Zamora had just opened the gate of his home at Lacson Avenue, Sampaloc, Manila when several gun-wielding suspects barged inside and proceeded to bind and gag him and his family,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
The suspect also destroyed the CCTV cameras installed in the home. According to the report, Zamora “tried to fight his attackers but was pistol-whipped by one of the suspects.”
