A man from Quezon City celebrating his 27th birthday got the suprise of his life when a man he had been feuding him greeted him a happy birthday, then shot him three times in the chest.
Ariel “Aying” Lucero of Barangay Holy Spirit was holding a birthday party at his house on Republic Street when Danny Ortega, a neighbor he had had problems with in the past, dropped by. “Danny told Aying, ‘P’re, happy birthday’, and then he shot him,” a witness says in an Abante report.
Neighbors said Lucero and Ortega had clashed in the past and that Ortega planned the shooting to coincide with his rival’s birthday.
Police are still looking for Ortega while Lucero was at the Far Eastern University hospital as of this post.
