Some barangays in Sta. Mesa, Manila temporarily lost power when a backhoe hit a major electric line in the area before at around 2am today, Wed, Nov 19.
“The backhoe of AKH Construction, which was being used in a road project in the area, hit the major line of Manila Electric Company (Meralco), so power supply was immediately cut in eight barangays,” reports Francis Faulve on ABS-CBNnews.com.
Meralco personnel were able to restore power in the area at about 4am.
The report noted: “The road project in which the said backhoe was used, has no light and no early warning signs visible at night. It also triggered some accidents that have led to deaths in the area.”
