A female baby was found dead at a dumpsite yesterday morning in Tondo, Manila.

The baby was discovered by a street sweeper who was cleaning the Velasquez Infanta Bridge in Tondo, GMA News’ Balitambayan reported. The street sweeper noticed that there was blood at a garbage dump nearby.

The street sweeper checked the area and found the child at the garbage site, Balitambayan stated.

A concerned citizen by the name of Carding Sungkit shared a Facebook post showing photos of the bloody baby. She said the child was found at 7am.

The photos show the baby lying on what seems to be a bloodied cloth while a rosary was placed on her back. There were also two lit candles next to her.

The Facebook post has garnered 3,600 likes and 6,900 shares as of this article’s posting. Netizens couldn’t help but pity the baby.

“Poor baby,” said Chįnn Calosa.

Khristine Marie Ferrolino tagged a friend and said in Filipino that the parents should’ve just put her up for adoption if they aren’t capable of providing for the child.
