It’s an American this time.
According to a press release posed on AzkalsFootballTeam.com, “The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) has formally announced Thomas Dooley as the new head coach of the Philippine National Football Team.”
Dooley was a former United States international and captain that has played in both the 1994 and 1998 FIFA World Cup and scored seven international goals in 81 appearances. He’ll be taking charge of the Philippines in the 2014 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup.
Dooley takes over from German coach Hans Michael Weiss.
