Thanks to its fans, this resto is staying open.
“Ayala Land has allowed the Makati Garden Club to continue operating its highly regarded bistro-cafe, Maria Luisa’s Garden Room,” reports Victor C. Agustin in his column, Cocktales, on InterAksyon.com.
However, only Makati Garden Club members and member-accompanied guests are allowed to dine in. Agustin, though, reveals that the membership only costs PHP1,200 a year.
The restaurant was supposed to have been closed down by end-2013 for operating outside the scope of Ayala’s deed of donation. In any case, it’ was featured by Jin Perez on her popular food blog, Jin Loves To Eat.
