Some drug pushers in the Philippines have apparently taken a cue from McDonald’s and now offer their goods via a “drive-thru.”
At least that’s what authorities found on Friday when they arrested five suspected drug sellers in Bacoor City, Cavite, ABS-CBN News reported.
The suspects were identified as Isagani Ordoñes and his relatives Jovani Ordoñes and Raquel Almahan, GMA News wrote.
Jayaon Morados and Paulo Lontoc, alleged drug runners for the family, were also nabbed.
They allegedly kept their operation stealth by selling drugs through a window in their house.
Customers who are in a hurry can buy via the drive-thru but those who have time to spare can use one of the drug den’s rooms to take the narcotics, GMA News reported.
They even offer special promos.
“When you buy, you have free drug paraphernalia. Unlike other [drug dens] that charge for the foil and use of rooms,” Bacoor police chief Supt. Vicente Cabatingan told ABS-CBN News in Filipino.
Now that’s good service.
Found at the scene were three sachets of suspected shabu (meth) and drug paraphernalia, GMA News reported. The suspects admitted to using drugs but denied pushing them.
Police said that Isagani, one of the suspects, had been arrested in the past for alleged drug links.
All five suspects will face charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
