The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said it beefed up security measures at the Davao International Airport following a case of a vlogger’s alleged unauthorized entry after posing as an airline employee.
The vlogger, who has not been identified, was said to have used a fake airline employee ID and a fake boarding pass to access the airport terminal and other restricted areas.
CAAP-Davao airport manager Rex Obcena said another layer of security was introduced at the Davao airport where security officers would check the passengers’ boarding passes and identification cards.
“We take such breaches in airport security very seriously and have taken immediate action to ensure that this does not happen again,” the CAAP said.
