It can be said that they “broke up” after Valentine’s Day.
“After a mere 12 days as the spokesperson of businessman Cedric Lee, high-profile lawyer Atty. Raymond Fortun has resigned,” reports ANC.

A copy of Fortun’s resignation statement, which was written as a letter addressed to Lee, was read on the weekend entertainment talk show, Buzz ng Bayan.
The report noted the entertainment industry connection: “Lee is the businessman who—along with model Deniece Cornejo and six others—is accused of orchestrating the mauling of actor Vhong Navarro last January 22 inside one of the units of Forbeswood Heights condominium in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.”
In his letter, Fortun had reminded Lee of their agreement that “no statements shall by anybody from your group without the consent/approval of your counsels and/or spokesman.” But then Cornejo made a statement on the so-called CCTV footage where Lee appeared to be kissing her.

Though Fortun didn’t directly cite Cornejo’s recent TV turns as the reason, many assumed this was what he was referring to when he stated, “(Our agreement) has been breached last night.” This was clearly a big deal to Fortun, who had also pointed out that he took on Lee as a client “even at peril to my own reputation as a lawyer.”
