One witness who was at Resorts World Manila in Pasay City past midnight on Friday said one of the attackers poured flammable liquid on one of the casino tables and set them on fire.
He recounted seeing three tables being lit up in flames.

Multiple gunshots were heard in the background while ABS-CBN News’ April Rafales was reporting live about the incident.
According to the same witness, a casino employee interviewed on dzMM, some guests headed to the emergency exits, while others went to the basement where he said the employee locker rooms and a canteen were located.
Some of the guests were foreigners described as Korean and Japanese citizens.
The same witness said at least one attacker was wearing a scarf around his head with only his eyes showing. He didn’t hear a battle cry nor did the attackers identify themselves. He could only people screaming as they sought safe ground.
According to another casino employee at the scene, there was a fire on the 2nd floor, while the gunshots could be heard in a restaurant also on the same floor.
