The Quezon City-based Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) received a bomb threat late last night but found no explosive devices inside its campus.
In a post that appeared on its Facebook account yesterday, AdMU said it received the threat via social media and asked students, employees, and others to stay calm. “Be assured that our security protocols are in place. We shall issue updates, as necessary,” AdMU said.
In a follow-up post that appeared this morning, AdMU said that its security team and the Quezon City Police Department “conducted thorough sweeps of the campus last night and early this morning and found no irregularity.”

Despite that, it asked everyone to “remain calm and alert, cooperate and report anything suspicious to any of our security personnel stationed all around the campus.”
A tweet posted by the school’s college student council this morning said that classes and work will go ahead as usual today.
The University will be giving updated information as necessary.
Classes and work are not called off for tomorrow, October 28, 2019, Monday.
