Arrested: 2 robbers who attacked teenage girl in Barangay Laging Handa, QC

Police said these two criminals already have previous records, but their complainants never followed through so they walked free and were back to their old tricks in no time. However, this case may be the one that does them in.

“Two men who were seen on a surveillance camera video snatching a teenage girl’s cell phone in Quezon City were arrested in a raid in Antipolo City over the weekend,” reports Cecille Suerte Felipe in The Philippine Star.

The report noted: “The victim, a student at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral School, identified John Ralph de Guzman and Gilbert Pazcoguin as the ones who robbed her in broad daylight in Barangay Laging Handa last September 22.”

The CCTV video of the robbery, which went viral, “showed four girls chatting at the corner of Scout Lozano and Scout Tobias streets when a man on a motorcycle stopped for a few minutes at the curb.” Soon, the man’s companion attacked one of the girls and took her cellphone. The man then got on the motorcycle with his cohort and they sped off.

Pazcoguin was identified as the man on the motorcycle while De Guzman was his cohort who was initially on foot.

According to Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) chief Director Benjamin Magalong, the police tracked the two suspects to their hideout in Barangay Dela Paz in Antipolo City last Saturday, Sep 27.
