Are kuligligs making a comeback in Manila?

Kuligligs or makeshift motorized tricycles could be making a comeback. This week saw plenty of tehm being used as school services for young students in the Manila area.

This mode of transportation has been banned from the streets of Manila in 2010 by Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim. However, GMA News reported that a good number of this crudely put together vehicles are being used to service schoolchildren – with the cabs packed full of youngsters. Kuligligs were seen at Taft Avenue, España Boulevard, Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard, Rizal Avenue, Reina Regente Street, R-10, Quirino Avenue, and Osmeña Highway.
