April Fool’s Day is always a fun day for people to prank friends and loved ones. It’s also the one time in the year businesses and brands can trick their customers, and some get really creative.

We’ve browsed through the internet for some of the best ones posted in the realm of Philippine social media today and here are some of them.

Get ready for some good ol’ Pinoy humor.

Dunkin’ Donuts

Dunkin’ Donuts knows how much Filipinos love its choco butternut donuts, so it made a pretty heartbreaking joke that all the donuts in this flavor were phased out.

It says in the photo: “Due to a global Butternut shortage, our Choco Butternut donuts will be PHASED OUT.”

It the caption, however, it revealed that it was all just a (sick) joke. You broke our hearts, DD.

Maxx

Filipinos love milk tea, so much so that menthol candy Maxx finally came up with a decent solution to our milk tea hankerings — a milk tea-flavored menthol candy.

If you’re ever in a pinch and trying to cut down costs, this is the candy you need. If only it actually exists.

D’ Cream Coffee & Tea

Speaking of milk tea, another local shop by the name D’ Cream Coffee & Tea posted that its bestselling Golden Sun milk tea is also phased out. “It’s hard to say goodbye but due to [the] dairy crisis, our bestseller GOLDEN SUN will be PHASED OUT,” it says in the graphic posted on Facebook.

Quit playing games with our hearts.

The Bar

Ever wonder what your favorite Pinoy summer treats taste like if they were alcoholic? No? Well, here’s a teaser anyway.

The Bar’s “new” alcoholic offerings include mais con yelo (mix of shaved ice, corn kernels, sugar and milk), halo-halo (mix of crushed ice, evaporated milk, ube, sweetened beans, sago, seaweed gelatin, fruit slices, flan, usually topped with a scoop of ice cream), and taho (soybean curd drink).

Pretty sure this will eff with our taste buds and will make us retch badly.

Potato Corner

Beloved french fries stall Potato Corner shared a step-by-step guide to pranking a loved one with apple sliced-fake fries.

All you have to do is put the apple-slices with the flavored powder that your friend likes (ex. Matcha) and you’re all set.

We’re down for the plan.

KFC

KFC pretended to make the dreams of meat-lovers come true: a Quadruple Down aka double its Double Down.

A Double Down’s sandwich is formed with two pieces of fried chicken fillet rather than hamburger buns — with bacon, cheese, and a special sauce. So imagine if this baby right here were real.

We’re pretty bummed that this it isn’t, but it’s probably for the best, health-wise.

The end is near.

People will pray before and after they drink up this shot posted by the Manila-based cafe pub called Default.

Based on its description, the fake drink is 100 percent ethyl alcohol, with Jose Cuervo tequila, Emperador brandy, Jägermeister, Red Horse, Gin, and Bacardi 151.

Some netizens call it the “Goodbye Philippines” drink.

Don’t drink it, if you want to live. Good thing it’s not real.
