Appointments are open for PH passport with 10-year validity

The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) opened appointments this week for new passports with a 10-year validity period, which will be issued starting January 1.

Previously, passports were only valid for five years.

According to a report in Inquirer.net, both new passports and renewed passports issued by next month will have the 10-year expiration date.

Passport fees are as follows:

PHP950.00 (US$19) for regular processing (20 working days)

PHP1,200.00 (US$50)  for express processing (10 working days)
