They’ve taken their battle to T-shirts.
“Several groups converged near EDSA Shrine on Sunday, February 22, as part of a series of protest actions ahead of the People Power commemoration this week,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
The report noted: “Former Tarlac Rep. Peping Cojuangco slammed the barricade set up at the EDSA Shrine where groups were supposed to hold vigil later Sunday as part of protests against President Benigno Aquino III.”
The report likewise pointed out that “the President’s uncle was wearing a satire shirt showing the PHP500 bill with Aquino’s parents hiding their faces in embarrassment.” In case you didn’t know, Cojuangco is the brother of former President Cory Aquino.
Other protesters were also wearing the same shirt.
Conjuangco remarked that “the defensive actions shown on Sunday were reminiscent of martial law.”
For her part, Conjuangco’s wife, Tingting stated, “This is the only Aquino who’s afraid of People Power. He’s attained the role of those against his mother.”
