Last week, the Coalition of Filipino Consumers, a consumer rights group filed plunder and graft charges against Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Alan Purisima over his alleged unexplained wealth.

“On Monday, September 29, the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption filed plunder, indirect bribery, and other charges against Purisima before the Office of the Ombudsman,” reports InterAksyon.com.
The report noted: “The other charges are for violating the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, Section 08 of Republic Act 6713, as well as administrative offenses of dishonesty, grave misconduct, and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service.”
