Earlier this week, robbers hit the Kapi Chapi Coffee Shop located at No. 72-B, E. Abadia St., Barangay Loyola Heights, Quezon City. The robbery happened sometime after midnight.

“Five students from the University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman, Quezon City who were in the coffee shop lost cellphones and laptops worth close to PHP250, 000 to the robbers,” reports Francis T. Wakefield in the Manila Bulletin.

The victims—Isabelle Cosserre Agustin, 21; Ana Beatrice Constantino, 20; Anna Eloisa Lagman, 20; Gian Carlo Aurelio, 20; and Kevin Gabriel Ferrer, 20—were all students at the UP College of Science in Diliman.

According to Supt. Richard Reyes Fiesta, chief of the Quezon City Police District-Police Station 9 in Anonas, the two unidentified suspects easily entered the establishment and then robbed the students at gunpoint. They reportedly fled from the scene on board a white taxi presumably driven by another cohort. Unfortunately, the students failed to get the plate number of the taxi.

Fiesta said they were able to obtain a copy of the CCTV footage from the coffee shop. The case is still under investigation.
