If there’s one thing that’s already world class at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1, it’s the honest porters.

“At around 9:45pm on Thursday, Feb 6, Rodolfo Bernal Jr., 46, a NAIA employee assigned to retrieve pushcarts, noticed the gray pouch on one of the pushcarts on the driveway,” reports the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Bernal immediately alerted his supervisor Andro Laxina.
As it turned out, the pouch contained Australian dollars equivalent to around PHP60,000, as well as the passport of Koby Edward Max Griffiths.
NAIA Terminal 1 manager Dante Basanta praised Bernal’s honesty. Griffiths got his money and passport back two hours after the gray pouch was found by Bernal.
The report revealed that “Bernal has been working as a contractual airport employee for the past 14 years with a take-home monthly pay of PHP12,000.”
Last week, Jony Villon, also NAIA 1 porter returned an envelope full of cash left behind by an OFW.
