A single mom who was allegedly raped by eight Koreans in Angeles City, Pampanga was blindfolded before the crime happened.
Angeles City police chief Senior Supt. Eden Ugale said a medico-legal exam confirmed that the 22-year-old mom from Bulacan had had intercourse on the night of the alleged rape.
Ugale said the victim agreed to meet up with a certain Mr. Lee whom she had chatted with in an online dating site.
“They had been chat mates. When the suspect asked to meet her, she agreed. They met and then she got into his car. They drove to a restaurant to eat,” he said.
Ugale said that after eating out, the two boarded the Korean’s car where she was blindfolded. He related, “After they ate, they got into the car once more. That was when the victim said she was subdued and blindfolded. Then, she was brought somewhere. There, she felt several men touching her and eventually raping her, one after the other.”
Ugale said the victim was able to remove her blindfold. She said she saw Mr. Lee with seven other men.
After that, the victim said she was once again transferred to a hotel where she was again raped.
Ugale said the victim tried to fight back but was held down by the suspects.
Police have obtained CCTV footage showing the victim entering the hotel with Mr. Lee.
Police are now coordinating with the Korean embassy and local Korean communities to identify Mr. Lee.
