Angat Dam water level continues to drop

Are the rains not enough?

“The water level in Angat Dam continues to drop despite the rains being experienced in some parts of the country over the past few weeks,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

As we ll know, the Angat Dam in Bulacan supplies 90 percent of Metro Manila’s water requirements.

The report said that “as of 8am on Tuesday, June 24, the dam’s water level fell to 168.66 meters above sea level.” This is below the critical level of 180 meters.

Engr. Rodolfo German, operations manager of the Angat Dam Hydroelectric Power Plant said that “the rains being experienced by the country right now are not enough to increase the water level in the dam.”

Still, German assured that allocation to water distributors remains normal.
