“On Thu, Dec 15, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) chief Martin Andanar expressed confidence anew in President Rodrigo Duterte’s leadership in an interview with the CNBC show Asia Street Signs with Martin Soong & Oriel Morrison in Singapore,” reports Philippine News Agency.
Duterte is currently in Singapore for a state visit.
Andanar pointed out that Duterte’s tough talk is meant “to instill fear in the hearts of criminals.”
Andanar also assured the public that the President is in good health, contrary to rumors that he is prone to dizzy spells and fatigue. “In our country we say, he is as strong as a carabao (water buffalo),” he said.
The PCO chief added that Duterte has kept the “nocturnal schedule” that he followed when he was the mayor of Davao City.
