“Ayoko pong mag-exaggerate pero first time I read the speech, it made me cry. Ganoon po kaganda, ganoon nakakabagbag damdamin ang speech ng Pangulo po natin.”
(“I don’t want to exaggerate but the first time I read the speech, it made me cry. Our President’s speech is really that beautiful, that heartwarming.”)
These were the words of Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Martin Andanar when he talked about President Rodrigo Duterte’s first State of the Nation Address (SONA).
ABS-CBN News noted: “Duterte personally wrote his SONA and it is expected to run for 38 minutes.” The speech has been revised 10 times.
Duterte’s first ever SONA is set on Mon, Jul 25, at the Batasang Pambansa. He is expected to be at the venue at around 3pm.
