Where could he be?
“The search for American expatriate Lewis Yakich, owner of the Lewis Grand Hotel on Don Juico Avenue near the Clark free port, has not yielded any leads,” reports Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Yakich was reported missing in Nov 7, 2015. His friends fear that he may have been abducted or killed.
The report noted: “A material science engineer from California, Yakich came to Angeles City more than 10 years ago. He is said to be in his early 40s.”
According to Chief Insp. Derick Relativo, head of the police station in Angeles, Yakich’s Filipino girlfriend (who was not named in the report) still has his passport.
Meanwhile, Yakich’s relatives in the United States have have already informed the U.S. embassy of his case. However, as the report indicated, “the United States Embassy in Manila, through its spokesperson, Kurt Hoyer, declined to comment on the case of Yakich, citing privacy concerns.”
For the record, cops said “Yakich has not been involved in any criminal or civil case in Angeles City.”
